Summary / Abstract (Note)Much has transpired in the Nigerian economy since the debates of the early 1950s on the subject of the West African Marketing Boards. Nigeria's Marketing Boards, are statutory monopsonies handling Nigeria's major agricultural exports. The interpretation and implementation of the Marketing Boards' responsibility for stabilisation have received a great deal of attention from the economics profession.
