Summary / Abstract (Note)Dafaults on noncollateral rice loans to small-scale farmers in the Philippines have been a problem since the government began giving these type of loans. This study attempts to test if institutional credit does induce farmers to use additional inputs (an proportion) and if the increase in inputs causes farmers to realize increased production and income.
