Summary / Abstract (Note)In this study, based on an intensive survey of a typical rice village in the province of Laguna, we attempt to identify a wide specturm of land tenure arrangements actually operating in the rice-growing area of the Philippines. Further, we try to analyze the process of evolution in the land tenure system in response to demographic and technological changes.
