Summary / Abstract (Note)Bangladesh is primarily an agricultural country where 85% of its people are living in rural areas with 36% of the country's GDP is derived from agriculture. A significant proportion of rural households is landless. With the rapid growth of population agriculture sector alone is not in a position to employ all its rural force and thus a significant proportion of workers remain un-employed.
