Summary / Abstract (Note)Employing a hedonic pricing model, an empirical study was undertaken to estimate the implicit value of milled rice characteristics using market price as a measure of average consumer preference subject to budge constraints. The results provide useful information in mapping preferences by location, variety type, season and urban-rural differences.
