Summary / Abstract (Note)Recent work in the pure theory of international trade has investigated the properties of the standard Heckscher-Ohlin-Samuelson (H.O.S.) model under successively more realistic circumstances while retaining the model's basic constituents. In this paper, we show that the introduction into the standard H.O.S. framework of a third, resource using shipping industry and the stipulation that international commerce requires transport services likewise preserves the standard conclusions.
