Summary / Abstract (Note) | This paper combines two ingredients, neither of which is new. One is a theorem on orthogonal projection and the other is a geometric representation of least-squares regression. Combining least-squares geometry with the projection theorem ameliorates both; conclusions become intuitively obvious and proofs are shortened. |
