Summary/Abstract
The object of this study is to provide some sort of framework within which women's position in China can be assessed in the context of land question; the CPC's historical experience of enabling women to halt the growing process of patriarchal oppression through their access to land/economic resources and means of production, and thereby expand scope for substantial, effective participation of the masses of women in decision-making in politico-economic matters related to construction of a socialist society.
