In 1990, the National Dairy Development Board commissioned IRMA to undertake a broadcased study of their Foot-and-Mouth Disease Control Project. This paper reports on one of the three principal questions that this research addressed: the factors that shape farmers' attitude towards the disease and the efforts taken to control it.
