| Summary/Abstract |
The paper has three major objectives: first, to present a conceptual and analytical framework for a comprehensive analysis of costs of education; second, to examine the nature of data available to the practitioners and researchers in the area of costs/financing of education; and third, to present an empirical analysis of costs of education in India for the recent period with the help of original analysis of the data supported by various empirical studies already conducted in the Indian context.
