Summary/Abstract |
Electricity plays an ubiquitous role in the economy of a country. It performs a dual function - it is a factor of production in agriculture and industry; in the household sector, it is a consumer good and an input to the quality of life. Being high quality energy with versatility in its application and easy transportability, it is replacing less efficient fuels therby reducing overall energy intensity of the economy.
