Problem of poverty has now become the main stream concern of economic science because of its pervasiveness and intensity in the contemporary world. Bangladesh is perhaps one of the worst cases in respect of poverty situation with one of the lowest per capita income and saving rate among countries of the world, and in terms of human index, holds 143 position among 174 countries of the world.
