On April 5, 1984, the United States International Trade Commission, on its own motion, instituted investigation No. 332-184 under section 332(b) of the Tariff Act of 1930 (19 U.S.C. 1332(b)) on Emerging Textile Exporting Countries. This study was undertaken to update and supplement an earlier report on the same subject that was published by the Commission in 1982.
